Professor Holger Babinsky is Professor of Aerodynamics and Head of the Fluids Group in the Engineering Department of Cambridge University. He is also Deputy Head of Department with responsibility for graduate education. His main areas of research are in the field of experimental aerodynamics and associated measurement techniques. His current research interests include shock wave/boundary layer interactions (where he has co-authored the only textbook on the topic) as well as the aerodynamics of micro-air vehicles, road vehicles, and flow control. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, an Associate Fellow of the AIAA and a member/chair of several national and international (RTO) advisory groups.
