Joshua Subel (PhD Student)

Joshua Subel is a PhD candidate in engineering at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He received his BSc and MSc degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, where he developed thermal braking models to help prevent road accidents caused by brake or tyre overheating. Joshua is currently researching fuel-optimal driving of heavy vehicles and real-time driver-assist systems for eco-driver training. He also serves as a Teaching Associate at Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, where he supervises undergraduate engineering students in mechanics, structures, thermofluid mechanics, and material sciences
