| Ember McMenemy has been a research assistant at Heriot Watt University since April 2020, working at the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight and Gamification Lab for Sustainability. Ember holds a BSc in Physics and Astronomy and an MSc in Serious Games and Virtual Reality. Ember’s interest is to develop and implement gamification and serious games onto consumer hardware. The use of gamification, mixed realities and visualisation facilitate learning and have the capacity to raise engagement and provide timely feedback that can be utilised in learning tools. Ember’s research has a strong emphasis around sustainability and empowering decision-making. |
