Dr Marc Stettler

Dr Marc Stettler is a lecturer in Transport and the Environment in the Centre for Transport Studies at Imperial College London.  Before this, Marc was a research associate for the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight and Energy Efficient Cities Initiative at the University of Cambridge, where he also completed his PhD.

Marc’s research aims to quantify and reduce environmental impacts from transport using a range of emissions measurement and modelling tools. Recent projects have included quantifying greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions from natural gas heavy goods vehicles; evaluating the performance of methane oxidation catalysts; using real-world vehicle emissions data to improve emissions models; quantifying the air quality impacts around airports and in urban areas; improving global estimates of aviation black carbon emissions and evaluating aircraft engine smoke emission standards.
