Julien Lépine is an assistant professor in Sustainable Transport at the Université Laval in Québec, Canada. Formerly, he was a research associate at the SRF and Cambridge University Engineering Department, and a postdoctoral associate at St-Catharine’s College, Cambridge.
Julien worked on different projects at the SRF such as implementing steered axles for longer semi-trailers, developing tyre-wear models to help fleet managers to select more fuel- and cost-effective tyres for their HGVs, and developing strategies to help HGV drivers to maximise coasting. Julien also started a research initiative to reduce food waste during transport in developing countries.
