Dr Joel Galos completed his PhD in Engineering within the CSRF in 2016. He is now a Research Fellow at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University), Australia. He joined the CSRF in 2013 after gaining an MSc in Composite Materials from Imperial College London. During his doctoral research, Joel explored the use of lightweight composite materials in lorry trailer design as a means of reducing the emissions of the road freight industry. He collaborated with numerous industry and academic partners. At RMIT University, Joel performs research on lightweight automotive structures in collaboration with Ford Motor Company.
