Dr Christopher de Saxe

Christopher was formerly a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight, University of Cambridge, and a Visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. His research interests include electric road systems, high-capacity vehicles, heavy vehicle dynamics, and computer vision systems for transport applications.

Christopher obtained the BSc(Eng) and MSc(Eng) degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining the CSRF, he was a Principal Research Engineer at CSIR Smart Mobility in Pretoria, South Africa, where he was closely involved in overseeing the country’s performance-based standards pilot project.
