PragmaCharge’s mission is to decarbonise heavy-duty road freight transportation. We provide small and medium sized fleet owners of HGVs with a reliable, easy to use and digitally connected fleet electrification platform with access to battery electric trucks (BET) through vehicle OEMs, dedicated truck charging depots, all connected via PragmaCharge’s cloud platform. Our model is partly third-party Charging-as-a-Service, for hauliers who own their fleet of BETs, and partly electric Truck-as-a-Service, for hauliers who find it hard to access capital for electric trucks and to navigate the complexities of building charging infrastructure themselves.
PragmaCharge addresses the cost barrier to heavy-duty fleet electrification through its pay-as-you-go leasing model, design optimised for each fleet owner’s operations, at Total Cost of Ownership parity to new diesel equivalent vehicles. Our dedicated truck charging depots, accessible to all HGV fleet owners, will be strategically located at high traffic locations with truck dwell time, such as ports, railheads and logistics centres, to optimise fleet uptime. Through PragmaCharge’s cloud-based platform, fleet owners will be able to track tailpipe GHG emissions savings, and report these back to their customers and stakeholders.

We are delighted to become full members of the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight, from 2023. Membership will enable PragmaCharge to be actively involved in research and initiatives by the University of Cambridge, supporting efforts to address the challenges of decarbonising medium and heavy-duty road freight.
