The Centre comprises Researchers, an Industrial Consortium and an Advisory Committee.
The Industrial Consortium consists of industrial sponsors who each pay an annual membership subscription fee. Alongside academic staff from Cambridge and Heriot-Watt Universities, these members make up the Steering Committee, which specifies the aims and direction of the research and benefits from exploiting subsequent intellectual property for a relatively low cost.
The Steering Committee meets twice yearly (or more often as required). It reviews the core research programme and centre management annually, recommends research directions and vets research proposals from its members. It also helps promote the centre and recruit new members. Project teams, consisting of groups of researchers and industry representatives, meet regularly to work on specific projects within the core research programme.
