Consortium members benefit from access to research results and comprehensive expertise in the area of sustainable road freight which is offered by this collaboration between both universities and the freight transport industry.

Benefits of membership include:

  • Access, free-of-charge, to the Logistics database and tools for analysing data. Opportunities for trialling and early-adoption of technology and methods developed in the research by member companies.
  • Use of computer simulation programmes and data analysis software for internal use by member companies.
  • Use of testing equipment and its designs for internal use by member companies.
  • Licenses granted under favourable terms in order for members to exploit intellectual property resulting from the research.
  • Access and exposure to other academics and research group’s expertise around the universities.
  • Industrial secondments for employees of member companies: to work under the guidance of university staff on company-specific R&D projects.
  • The opportunity to suggest suitable company specific research or design projects for Masters-level students to complete in a relatively short period of time.
